Suggestive dancing banned by Chariho officials

I always find morality-based issues interesting. In a world where many people are saying, “As long as it doesn’t hurt me, I don’t care”, I’m encouraged to see people standing up for morality. Below is a video I created discussing Chariho High School’s decision to ban sexually suggestive dancing at its homecoming utilizing the well-loved character, Elmo.

As we noted with the “Party in the USA” video, more and more sex is becoming pounded into our children’s head. Warning, some material in the video may not be appropriate for children. *chuckles*

About two weeks ago, I contacted Sheldon Whitehouse regarding his vote against stripping ACORN from federal funding. Two weeks later, no response. I sent another message to his office with the text of my question today. I’ll do this weekly until there is a response.

Song of the Day / 5 Comments

At work a few months ago, I was jamming to Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb”. Needless to say, I took some heat for the next few days (maybe, weeks). But here I am jamming out to another Miley Cyrus song. And while I like the song, the video is a bit raunchy for my taste….More on young kids dancing ’suggestively’ in the next post.

Obama Olympic pitchman

UPDATE: And Rio wins. Sorry, Chicago…the cult of Obama can only win you the presidency not the Olympics!

I’ve been reading a lot about Obama serving as pitchman for Chicago’s bid for the 2016 Olympics. Most have said [paraphrasing], “doesn’t our president have more important things to do than this?”

The answer is obvious, of course he does. Yet, spending one day that could help bring billions of dollars to Chicago is a good return on investment in my view. I don’t want to focus on the economics of the event, and I do recognize that the taxpayer may realize much of the burden to pull this thing off.

More so, I want to make clear that if you’re against Obama you need to pick your battles. Railing against him for spending a day pitching the Olympics resonates with no one but rightie bloggers ( see here), and only some of them because I sure as heck could care less if Obama spends one day pitching the Olympics.

We’ve got bigger fish to fry such as the healthcare debate, Iran, quagmires in Iraq & Afghanistan, the economy here at home, states’ deficits, utility prices, and I could go on and on. So while it’s politically easy to blast Obama for his excursion to Denmark, I just don’t have time for it.
